About the role
Databricks is hiring an AI Engineer for its Forward Deployed Engineering team, customer-facing GenAI consulting.
The AI FDE team builds and productionizes first-of-its-kind GenAI applications for Databricks's enterprise customers (over half the Fortune 500 use the platform). You ship RAG, multi-agent systems, Text2SQL, fine-tuning. You serve as a trusted technical advisor across domains, present at Data + AI Summit, and shape product roadmap with engineering and PM teams.
Required: 5+ years applied data science / ML, hands-on GenAI experience (HuggingFace, LangChain, DSPy), production deployment on AWS/Azure/GCP, Pandas + scikit-learn + PyTorch fluency. Graduate degree preferred. Comfort teaching technical concepts to mixed audiences.
