About the role
Cohere is hiring a Lead Data Scientist for its Analytics and Data Insights team, remote-flexible (offices in Toronto, NY, SF, London, Paris).
You tackle problems that don't have textbook answers yet: shape go-to-market strategy for technology still being invented, design experiments that prove or kill the biggest bets, and help enterprises understand what foundational AI means for their bottom line. You own the full analytical lifecycle from framing the right questions to leading a team that delivers actionable answers.
Work includes: experimentation programs (A/B tests, multi-armed bandits, causal inference) mapped to product and go-to-market decisions, predictive models for forecasting/segmentation/propensity/opportunity sizing across Cohere's business lines, managing and growing a team of analysts and data scientists.
Required: strong SQL, Python, Git; deep statistical inference, experimental design, and predictive modeling; proven team leadership; comfort with ambiguity and multi-workstream roadmaps.
