About the role
Synthesia is hiring an ML Platform Engineer to join the team that keeps its generative video models trainable, servable, and deployable at scale. Synthesia is the AI video platform used by most of the Fortune 100, headquartered in London with teams across Europe and the US, recently valued at $4 billion after a $200M Series E.
The ML Platform team builds the systems researchers and product engineers rely on: research infrastructure, production serving, internal tooling, and the interfaces between them. As an IC with real ownership, you would design training and serving systems, make GPU and cloud workloads more reliable and cost-efficient, and improve observability and developer experience. A growing slice of the work is making these tools operable by agents, not just humans.
This is explicitly not a pure ML role. They want a systems generalist who thinks in bottlenecks, failure modes, and resource usage, comfortable with Kubernetes and distributed production workloads.
