About the role
n8n is hiring a Senior AI Engineer to work remotely from anywhere in Europe. n8n is an open source workflow orchestration platform that pairs the flexibility of code with the speed of no-code, used by a community of over 650,000 developers and backed by Sequoia and SAP at a 5.2bn valuation.
In this role you own AI-powered features end to end. You will build natural language to workflow capabilities, intelligent node creation, and code suggestions, wiring LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic) and embedding models into the core product. Expect to design prompts, build evaluation benchmarks, and ship fast while keeping AI features reliable and performant. The stack is TypeScript and Node.js on the backend, with Vue or React on the frontend.
What stands out is the surface area. You are not bolting AI onto an app, you are defining how AI generates automations for a huge developer base. Visa sponsorship is available for Germany, other locations need existing right to work in Europe.
