About the role
Qonto is hiring a Staff Machine Learning Engineer for its AI Product team, based in Paris with the rest of the EU in scope.
You join a team of 8 AI Engineers and 3 Data Ops led by the Head of Data Products, building customer-facing AI for 500,000+ SMEs across 8 European countries. The mandate is end-to-end: scope with PMs and backend, design and train ML models, ship them to production, and own the MLOps framework (drift detection, automated retraining, monitoring). You combine Generative AI with classical ML, and "must have developed client-facing products" is a hard requirement.
Stack: Python, FastAPI, Snowflake, Kafka, PostgreSQL, Airflow, AWS, Prometheus, ArgoCD, GitHub. Cursor is on the menu and you get unlimited access to AI tools.
What stands out: explicit individual-contributor track to staff/principal, profitable since 2023, and an AI mandate written by the team rather than imposed. Italian customers are a real chunk of the user base.
