Staff Machine Learning Engineer

SurveyMonkey is hiring a Staff Machine Learning Engineer to join its Product Data Science team, a group central to the company's AI and ML growth. The role is technical leadership focused: you will architect enterprise-scale NLP, ML and AI systems that power the product, define reusable components and frameworks, and mentor engineers across teams. The position calls for autonomy in solving ambiguous, high-impact problems while helping shape strategic direction and build the next generation of ML talent.

Day to day, you will author and guide architectural decisions, build and own end-to-end ML and AI solutions, and create monitoring and telemetry systems that detect model deterioration and complex failure modes. You will train, fine-tune and deploy models from statistical methods to LLMs, and partner with Product, Design and engineering stakeholders. SurveyMonkey requires in-person collaboration.
